Air quality and carbon action plan now submitted

Portsmouth International Port has now submitted their air quality and carbon action plan to the Department of Transport, which was approved by Portsmouth City Council’s cabinet in December 2020.
Mike Sellers, port director, said:
“I’m delighted that we’ve now submitted our air quality and carbon action plan to the Department of Transport.
“We need to take bold action if we’re to meet our goal to be the UK’s first zero emission and net carbon neutral port, and play our part in tackling this pressing issue.
“The port is owned by the people of Portsmouth, so we have an obligation to do everything we can to minimise our impact as we continue to grow in the coming years”
