Pilotage tariff review
We are required to review pilotage charges on a regular basis. Looking back at the historical evidence, it would appear that it has been over ten years since the pilotage tariff structure has been comprehensively reviewed (save for the annual inflation based adjustment). A review of the schedule of pilotage charges (as published within page 5 of the current dues, rates and charges handbook) has now been conducted.
The main pilotage act charges (in line with previous reviews) will uplifted in-line with UK inflation, however the purpose of this consultation is to ensure you are aware that we are undertaking some changes to the charges made for acts of self-pilotage, including examinations, additions, and renewals. The charge increases are based mainly on the increased cost of delivery of service.
You can download the full consulation document here. Any comments arising from this consultation are to be submitted by the 1 April 2021, full details on how to submit your comments can be found at the end of the consulation document.
