Wightlink car ferry using the port this weekend

All sailings on Wightlink's Portsmouth – Fishbourne route will use Portsmouth International Port rather than the usual Portsmouth Gunwharf terminal from 01:00 on Saturday, 16 October to 23:59 on Sunday 17 October.

This is to allow for essential maintenance to take place on their boarding ramp at Portsmouth Gunwharf. This weekend has been chosen as Sunday, 17 October is also the date of the Great South Run in Portsmouth, when sailings are usually diverted to Portsmouth International Port to avoid road closures in the city.

If you’re travelling from Portsmouth International Port, please arrive and check in 60 minutes before your scheduled sailing.

All sailings must be pre-booked, as tickets won't be available to purchase at Portsmouth Internaitional Port.

No foot passengers will be able to travel on this route over this period but additional overnight sailings on Wightlink's Portsmouth Harbour – Ryde Pier Head route have been put in place to make sure key workers, commuters and anyone else that needs to travel throughout the night can cross the Solent.
