Temporary gate in place for service vehicles from 5 October

We’re making some essential repairs to the weighbridge on one of our freight gates, starting on Monday 5 October.

To make sure freight traffic continues to flow, we’re setting up a temporary service gate within one of our the car search bays, adjacent to the terminal.

When open, all non-freight traffic will that needs to enter the restricted area of the port will be directed to use this entrance instead. This includes service vehicles and quay pass holders. Ferry passenger traffic will be unaffected.

The route is marked in blue on the map below, which can be downloaded as a PDF here.

The temporary service gate will be open at the following times. Please keep to the signposted route and follow the instructions given by traffic marshalls.

  • 5 October: 0900 – 1800
  • 6 - 9 October: 0600 – 1800
  • 12 October: 0600 – 1800

At all other times, all traffic should use the usual freight gate entrance. Please continue to use the usual freight out gates to exit the restricted area as normal

The work is scheduled to take around 10 days, and it is expected that the gate will be ready to re-open on the 15 October.
