Port Facilities

The Port terminal is open from 0600 - 2330 every day.

You can find refreshments on the mezzanine level, and a shop and Currency Exchange on the ground floor.

Fresh meals, snacks and drinks from the World Marché café or Costa coffee lounge for a relaxed start to a trip or chance to buy provisions for the journey.

Please note that as of 30th September 2018 the bar in the terminal will be replacing its Draught alcohol with a bottled beer service.

Who wouldn't want to sit and relax with a coffee, a snack, a cooling or warming drink from the bar when you are sitting in this stunning terminal building. The upstairs areas at the ferry and cruise terminal are comfortable, with all facilities and an open air terrace, where you can watch the comings and goings of the ships and ferries. Make sure you give yourself enough time to take advantage of these fabulous facililties and see what's on offer.

Left Luggage

Left luggage: £4 per item, open 0600-2330 at the Security desk in the terminal building. There is no overnight facility. Electronic equipment can be stored and a security tag will be placed on the item(s) prior to passengers leaving them. This facility is available to passengers travellling in/out of the port only.

First Aid and Defibrillators

The health and safety of those travelling through the Port is paramount. Portsmouth was the first port in the UK to offer life-saving assistance to anyone suffering a heart attack while travelling and defibrillators are available throughout the Port.

Mobility Assistance and Wheelchair Access

If you require assistance getting through the Port please advise the ferry company when booking or a member of staff when checking in. There are toilet facilities for people with disabilities throughout the Port.

A special minibus service is available to help wheelchair users or those with reduced mobility and their companions board the ship. Assistance is also available for those travelling by car, enabling parking on the car decks close to the lifts.

The Port car park has designated spaces for people with disabilities and/or reduced mobility and there are additional bays adjacent to the main terminal building. Please request these at the time of booking.

  Space to Change Facility  

An accessible toilet with ceiling tracking hoist, height adjustable adult-sized changing bench and peninsular toilet is located on the ground floor of the terminal building. It is accessible by radar key. A spare radar key for anyone who requires access is available at the Port Control desk. 

Pets at the Port

Pets are not allowed in the terminal building, with the exception of Guide dogs.
